Repair assistance and support for Windows Vista
Published by micka39 in Tips, VistaIn some people the help and support of Vista do not work and instead displays an error message as what help is available.
To fix this do the following steps:
- Go to the registry: Start => Run (click if it does not appear in the list)
- Type regedit and click OK
- Double click on HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
- Browse through the directories until you find the names. Xml
- Double click on the following
- Double click on PerceivedType
- Change the value text / xml
- Click OK
- Close the window and test if it works by pressing the F1 key for example!

It did not work exactly like that for me - although the principle is exactly the same -> I found this on the Microsoft support site (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/937491/fr) :
Registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Classes \. Xml
Registry value: xmlfile
Content-type: text / xml
The problem was actually due, in my case, the attribution to Dreamweaver law opening xml files ... ..

desoler to break the mood but for me it does not work I tested everything and I did not find solution (I use for windows vista sp1)
