Microsoft has announced end of support of the protocol used by mail clients like Outlook, Outlook Express or Entourage (Mac client), they used the DAV protocol, which began to be old enough and Microsoft had last year conducted a survey whether or not he continued support until the arrival of alternative technologies as of late, Microsoft supports POP 3 for its Hotmail, replacing the DAV is there.

To ensure continuity of service, Microsoft recommends switching to:

• Windows Live Mail for Outlook Express users
• Outlook Connector for users of the standard version of Outlook
• Go through the POP3 protocol for users of Entourage

All these new options are free except the initial move of software for the cases of Outlook and Entourage.
