Last week we celebrated the birth of an electronic component used in the very world which is called the transistor.

For example, a processor is about 530 million for the latest generation of Intel

Basically a transistor can act as an inverting logic gate so for example if you go against a state 0 at the entrance you get a 1 on the output and is used as an automatic switch.

You do not know but you can be the user uses it every day in all electronic devices at the time (according to what my teacher said electro: p)

The processor has been following developments in 1970, according to Moore's Law which says that the number of transistors in processors should double every two years!

There will be so if Moore's Law is always respected, nearly one billion transistors in our PC just for the processor!
