Last week we celebrated the birth of an electronic component used in the very world which is called the transistor.

For example, a processor is about 530 million for the latest generation of Intel

Basically a transistor can act as an inverting logic gate so for example if you go against a state 0 to the entry you get a 1 to the output and is used as an automatic switch.

You may not know you but the user uses it every day in every electronic device of the moment (according to what my teacher electro: p)

The processor follows developments since 1970, according to Moore's Law which says that the number of transistors on processors will double every two years!

We will therefore if Moore's Law is always respected, nearly one billion transistors in our PC just for the processor!
