[Test] Microsoft LifeCam Show
Published by micka39 in Miscellaneous, Hardware, Microsoft, Test Products, Video, Windows Live Messenger, micka39The LifeCam Show Microsoft Hardware that I received by Test Agency Heaven is convenient because it is designed for both desktop or laptop computer.
It can take videos with a resolution of 2 million and photos up to 8 Mega Pixels.
The software supplied with the camera is very well designed because it has many effects to accompany a video conversation or grow such a mouth, nose or make the image a spiral.
This webcam is for Windows Live Messenger but it works equally well with other instant messaging applications like Skype or software with videos.
It is unfortunately not compatible for Mac and Linux computers.
Another drawback is the USB cable attached to the webcam is just a bit long for a fixed computer and a USB extension cable is required if the unit is located under a desk for example.
For laptops, it is perfect! With its small case for transport, need to be careful not to touch the target or to notice scratches. The case is intended to webcam only wire it remains outside.
On the clips, it yal'embarras choice! A clip is specially created for the screens of laptops, just put it on top of your computer and voila.
For desktops, you can choose between a slip up which you set the camera come with the magnets provided with.
The software and drivers from the LifeCam Show is rather heavy no less than 280 MB in my case.
Here in finding the strengths and weaknesses:
Strengths
- Photoelectric and videos of 2 Mega Pixels
- Bottom transport
- Multiple mounting brackets
- Effects with the LifeCam
Cons
- Relatively short length of USB cable
- Only compatible with computers running Windows Vista and XP
- Software drivers and heavy enough
Finally, the price is 80 € seen features, this price is reasonable. It is sold online and in stores
