Following a test proposed by TopAchat I've tested an external hard drive using 2.5 "(or pocket hard drive) this format is very convenient because there is no need external power from the mains, the you simply plug the USB cable With bundled is a bit special because it is there I will come back in detail on this cable more in this test.

Due to its pocket size, it is ideal for laptop PC and the multimedia devices such as Archos to name a few.

In terms of its size, no bigger than a mobile phone (HTC HD2), both in thickness and width / length and weighs around 160 g

Performance is more than correct for a external hard drive without power for a 2GB file transfer rate of 29.89 Mbps (69 seconds) and 31,803 Mbps (62 seconds) by connecting the two USB connectors. This rate was measured by writing

I had made earlier in this article that I would return the USB cable because this one has three connectors, one connected directly to the hard drive and the other two going to the PC but not requiring necessarily be connected Morgan simultaneously because the second used to provide supplemental power to DDE and as seen previously in the testing data transfer rates, it also enhances them.

Last thing to point at TopAchat, speed of delivery was really surprised the shipment arrived in not even 24 hours

Conclusion

To conclude this test, I found this hard drive very well in price and quality level (less than 80 € in TopAchat example) and contrary to one of my fears, it does almost no heat!

The only negative I could find is that it has no software or encryption sauvegardeset but at this price, you can not ask any more of these programs are easy to find as freeware (the Paragon Software often realized Free software in this genre)

The LifeCam Show webcam Microsoft Hardware I received in check by the agency Heaven is convenient because it is indeed intended for desktop computers than phones.

It can take videos with a resolution of 2 million and photos up to 8 Mega Pixel.

The software supplied with the camera is very well designed because it has numerous effects to enhance a video or a conversation for example bigger mouth, nose or make the image a spiral.

This camera is made for Windows Live Messenger, but it works equally well with other instant messaging applications like Skype or software with videos.

It is unfortunately not compatible for Mac and Linux.

Another drawback is the USB cable attached to the webcam is a bit short in length to a fixed computer and a USB extension cable is required if the unit is located under a desk for example.

For laptops, it is perfect! With its small case for transport, need to be careful not to put your fingers on the lens or to pay attention to scratches. The case is intended only to the webcam, the wire remains outside.

Regarding the clips, it yal'embarras of choice! A clip is created specifically for notebook screens, just put it on top of your computer and voila.

For desktops, you can choose between a foot slip which you will come through to fix the webcam supplied with magnets.

The software and drivers that are rather heavy LifeCam Show no less than 280 MB in my case.

Here concludes the strengths and weaknesses:

Strengths

  • Sensors photo and videos of 2 Mega Pixel
  • Carrying case
  • Multiple brackets
  • Effects through the LifeCam software

Weaknesses

  • Relatively short length of USB cable
  • Compatible only with computers running Windows Vista and XP
  • Software drivers and heavy enough

Finally, the price is 80 € seen features, the price is reasonable. It is sold online and in stores
