As announced some time ago, Microsoft had planned to release a public beta of Office 2010 before the end of the year is almost done because since this morning, a download site for Office 2010 is online various languages including French.

The download page for the French site refers to the moment a 404 while the English version it says that the download is coming soon.

Pending the arrival of the download, it is already possible to know the different versions available for download:

• Home and Small Business Office 2010 beta with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook and Office Web Apps
• Office Professional 2010 applications with beta version of Home and Small Business with Publisher, Access
• Office Professional Plus 2010 Beta with all applications of the Professional version over Communicator, InfoPath and SharePoint WorkSpaces

The Professional Plus version is only for volume licensing.

Be careful though because the site would include Word in the Home and Small Business version while the English version that is included in many other versions.
