The LifeCam Show webcam Microsoft Hardware I received in check by the agency Heaven is convenient because it is indeed intended for desktop computers than phones.
It can take videos with a resolution of 2 million and photos up to 8 Mega Pixel.
The software supplied with the camera is very well designed because it has numerous effects to enhance a video or a conversation for example bigger mouth, nose or make the image a spiral.
This camera is made for Windows Live Messenger, but it works equally well with other instant messaging applications like Skype or software with videos.
It is unfortunately not compatible for Mac and Linux.
Another drawback is the USB cable attached to the webcam is just a bit long for a desktop computer and a USB extension cable is needed if the unit is located under a desk for example.
For laptops, it is perfect! With its small case for transport, need to be careful not to put your fingers on the lens or to pay attention to scratches. The case is intended only to the webcam, the wire remains outside.
Regarding the clips, it yal'embarras of choice! A clip is created specifically for notebook screens, just put it on top of your computer and voila.
For desktops, you can choose between a foot slip which you will come through to fix the webcam supplied with magnets.
The software and drivers that are rather heavy LifeCam Show no less than 280 MB in my case.
Here concludes the strengths and weaknesses:
Strengths
- Sensors photo and videos of 2 Mega Pixel
- Carrying case
- Multiple brackets
- Effects through the LifeCam software
Weaknesses
- Relatively short length of USB cable
- Compatible only with computers running Windows Vista and XP
- Software drivers and heavy enough
Finally, the price is 80 € seen features, the price is reasonable. It is sold online and in stores
