On August 24 was the anniversary of the launch of Windows that will let appear for the first time the "Start" menu that is now found on all of our Windows computers.
It is also the first system I've used Windows, Windows 95 has been 15 years since no fewer than seven different editions that have succeeded to reach the Windows 7 that we have now.
Windows 95 was also the first system to be on a 32-bit processor architecture, all systems were released before Windows 95 in 16-bit version.
Finally I leave you an answer to this small survey consisting of a single question

As you may know, your computer uses more energy than it needs especially in terms of processors that is rarely used at 100% yet it is well supplied as if he was using this energy.
On average you use about 20% of your CPU resources, the remaining 80% are available and can either:
- Used for research in software such as World Community Grid allows us to use these unused resources to the benefit of research in various fields
- Reduce your energy consumption with Granola
Granola can therefore automatically adjust the energy parameters of your computer based on your use and then gives you statistics on the energy saved.
These statistics are presented in the form of money saved in Dollars, the equivalent electrical appliances consumption, kg of CO ² and finally the number of trees for the whole community granola.
The default display is on the saving over the year to see the 'real' cumulative figures since installing the software please visit the icon circled in blue in the image below:

Then click the check box has "Cumulative" circled in red on the image.
Confirm it by clicking OK.
If you try this program, you can free download Granola to reduce your carbon footprint with your computer

Treesize is a small program that can quickly and easily obtain the files and folders that take up most space on your hard disk or your other devices.
The software is available both with and without installation at the launch, by default no file is scanned to start the scan just click on File then "Select Directory" and then navigated to the folder or device you want, the then begin scanning as sands are now the scan is not finished.
Below is a screen print that I just made, we can see that the "Users" folder alone contains 32 GB of the 88 used in the score.
The buttons in the toolbar allow you to change display, clicking the% symbol will display a percentage rather than the size in Kb / Mb or Gb.
The following icon Gb automatically selects the most appropriate size for example a file of several thousands of Mb will be displayed in GB, so a file larger than 1 Mb is it displayed in KB.
As in any browser, just click on the arrow to expand a folder and double click the folder you want to develop,
A professional version is also available but it cost.
Download TreeSize free in its free version.

Published by micka39 in Internet , Microsoft , Update , Security , TechNet , Vista , XP , tags: update , service pack , Vista , XP As of yesterday, Microsoft has stopped supporting Windows Vista without Service Pack (SP) according to the life cycle of it.
The end support for Windows Vista without SP means that all computers in this case will no longer receive updates via Windows Update and new software from Microsoft will no longer necessarily compatible such as Internet Explorer 9 will not support Vista SP1 and XP.
I strongly encourage you to migrate if you are in this case to SP2 because in addition to the option of receiving updates, that it fixes many bugs, improve performance and increase safety by correcting faults (the latter is very important to see the article on Conflicker ).
As for Windows XP SP2, it will no longer be supported from the July 13, 2010.
Go to Windows Update or the Download page of Windows Vista SP2
